You collect, verify and analyse data, track risk parameters, and clearly identify trends and deviations. With your reliable reports and well-founded recommendations, you make a difference every day.

Discover your Reach as an Assistant Credit Controller

You will join the B&S Beauty Finance team, where you will contribute to the careful assessment of new business relationships. Using established tools, methods and formats, you will collect, verify and analyse relevant customer and financial data. In doing so, you will help keep customer data reliable and up to date, closely monitor risk parameters and identify deviations in a timely manner. You will share your findings with senior colleagues and liaise with colleagues in Finance and the business to obtain complete information and interpret risks accurately.

This role centres on three closely connected areas: supporting the assessment of new business relationships, safeguarding the reliability of customer data and monitoring credit risks within the established risk appetite. You clearly identify trends, deviations and risks and contribute to risk, data and management reports that support decision-making. You also prepare documentation, advise managers on the application of existing procedures and precedents, and identify non-compliance with policies, procedures or regulations. Where necessary, you report and escalate deviations.

What will you do?

  • Support the careful assessment of new business relationships by collecting, verifying and analysing relevant customer and financial data.
  • Check customer data for completeness, accuracy and currency, and identify deviations in a timely manner.
  • Monitor risk parameters and credit risks, identify deviations and report them to senior colleagues.
  • Support the analysis and assessment of whether credit risks fall within the established risk appetite.
  • Collect and analyse data to provide insight into trends, patterns and risks within business relationships and the customer portfolio.
  • Contribute to clear risk, customer data and management reports to support decision-making.
  • Translate analyses into well-founded recommendations and advise managers on the application of existing procedures and precedents.
  • Prepare documentation and reports and carefully summarise the required customer and risk data.
  • Identify and report non-compliance with policies, procedures, regulations or codes of conduct and escalate where necessary.
  • Contribute to improving processes and systems for reliable customer data and controlled credit risks.

This is you

You have strong analytical skills, work accurately and systematically, and have a keen eye for risk. Even when dealing with large volumes of information or conflicting information, you quickly get to the heart of the matter and can distinguish root causes from symptoms. You take responsibility for your work, honour commitments and have a good sense of when to act independently and when to escalate an issue. With your understanding of the business, you recognise how your analyses contribute to our organisational goals. You communicate clearly with various internal stakeholders, maintain an overview of your planning and priorities, and use digital applications to make work processes smarter and more efficient. In everything you do, you act with integrity, honesty and reliability.

What you bring:

  • A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, Risk Management, Data Analytics or a comparable field.
  • Between one and three years of relevant work experience in credit risk, compliance, customer acceptance or a comparable analytical role.
  • Knowledge of risk management, risk analysis and financial processes.
  • Experience in collecting, processing, analysing and interpreting data and identifying patterns, trends and deviations.
  • Proficiency in risk and scenario analysis, forecasting, statistical techniques and formulating well-founded recommendations.
  • Experience with database, reporting and analytical tools, as well as a good command of Excel and other commonly used office software. Knowledge of Power BI is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Dutch and the ability to liaise easily with various internal stakeholders.

We offer you

  • A salary between €3.200 and €4.000 per month (gross) in line with your experience, plus an annual fixed Christmas bonus and a performance-related bonus.
